Questions people ask before they let us come out
Do I need to be home?
It helps for the first ten minutes so you can tell us what is actually bothering you, but it is not essential. Plenty of our quotes go to people at work. If you cannot be there, leave the side gate unlocked and tell us in the notes which elevation is the problem, and we will send the written price the same way we would have handed it to you.
How long does the visit take?
Twenty minutes to half an hour on a normal house. Longer if the roof is complicated, if there is existing damage to work out, or if you have questions, and none of that costs anything extra. We are not trying to be somewhere else.
Is it really free, or is there a callout fee if I do not book?
On-site estimates are free in our regular Treasure Valley service area, roughly 30 miles beyond the valley. For a farther estimate visit, a travel charge applies and is quoted before scheduling.
Can you just give me a price over the phone?
We can give you a rough idea, and we will if you ask. What we will not do is send a firm number without seeing the roof, because the things that move the price the most are the things you cannot describe down a phone line: the pitch, the state of the fascia, how many corners the water has to get round. A number invented over the phone gets revised on the day, and that is worse for you than waiting a couple of days for a real one.
How soon can someone come out?
We confirm an on-site measurement time when you contact us. Installation timing is typically around two weeks after approval, depending on the schedule, weather and project scope.
What if I only want part of it done?
That is why the quote is itemised. Plenty of people do the elevation that is failing now and leave the rest for next year, and the price for the rest does not go up because you waited. We would rather do half a job you actually needed than talk you into a whole one you did not.
