We install Alu-Rex gutter protection. Alu-Rex offers product lines designed to help keep leaves and other debris out while allowing water to drain; the exact features depend on the selected product.

The right system depends on the existing gutter, roof edge, tree cover and the type of debris around the home. We review the setup on site, explain the product being proposed and include the installation scope in writing.

Guards can reduce debris entering the trough, but they do not make every system maintenance-free. Gutters, outlets and downspouts still need periodic checks, especially where fine grit, needles or heavy runoff are present.

Method

How we do it

  1. Clear first

    Guards go on clean gutter or they seal the problem in. Everything comes out and the downspouts are flushed before we fit anything.

  2. Select the Alu-Rex system

    We check the existing gutter, roof edge and debris conditions, then identify the Alu-Rex product and installation scope in the estimate.

  3. Install to the roof-edge conditions

    The installation method follows the selected product and the existing roof/gutter setup. We explain that scope before work starts.

Linear footage covered
Priced per foot, and you do not always need the whole house. Sometimes only the runs under trees are worth covering.
Guard type
The estimate names the Alu-Rex product proposed and its installation scope so you can compare the features and cost clearly.
Condition of the existing gutter
If the gutter underneath is sagging or failing, covering it is money spent on the wrong problem. We will say so.
Roof access
Steep pitch and height add setup time in the same way they do for installation.

Do gutter guards actually work, or do they just move the problem?

Alu-Rex products are designed to help limit debris entering the gutter while water drains through the system. Performance depends on the specific product, the roof edge and the debris at the property, so we identify the model and its scope in the written estimate.

Will I ever have to clean my gutters again?

Guards may reduce how much debris enters the trough, but no system should be called maintenance-free. The gutter and guard still need periodic inspection, especially where fine grit, pine needles or heavy runoff are present.

Will guards void my roof warranty?

Installation requirements depend on the Alu-Rex product and the roof edge. We review product instructions and site conditions before work, and explain the proposed attachment method in the estimate.

Can guards be fitted to gutters I already have?

Usually yes, as long as the existing gutter is sound and the profile matches. If the gutter is sagging or the hangers are pulling out, that gets fixed first. There is no point covering a system that is already failing.
