About gutter cleaning

We provide gutter maintenance, repair and modification, including seasonal cleanouts, leaking corner and end-cap repairs, gutter re-sloping, downspout repairs and additions, replacing damaged sections, extending existing runs, and modifying or redesigning systems to improve drainage.

Debris is removed and discarded, downspouts are cleared, and loose hangers are repaired when included in the written scope. We leave the property cleaner than we found it.

The right work depends on the gutter condition, roof runoff and where the water needs to go. At the on-site visit we review the full drainage setup and itemize proposed cleaning, repair or modification work before you decide.

Method

How we do it

  1. Clear by hand

    Out into a bucket, not blown over your garden. Blowing debris out is faster for us and worse for you, because it packs the downspout on the way.

  2. Clear the downspouts

    We clear accessible downspouts and identify any blockage or damage that needs a separate repair.

  3. Check while we are up there

    We review hangers, corners, end caps, fascia and gutter slope, then explain anything that needs attention.

  4. Remove debris and tidy

    Debris leaves with us, and the property is left cleaner than we found it.

Linear footage and number of storeys
A single storey ranch is quick. Two and three storey work needs more setup and more ladder moves.
How much is in there
A gutter cleared every year is a different job from one that has not been touched in five and has compacted into soil.
Roof pitch and access
Steep roofs and tight side yards slow the work down.
Guards fitted
If there are guards on, they have to come off and go back. That adds time but usually there is far less inside.
