Kuna is newer construction on some of the most exposed lots in the valley. Development has spread out from the old town centre onto what was farmland, which means very little mature landscaping and almost nothing between a house and the weather. The homes themselves are conventional modern builds, but the conditions they sit in are not, and that changes what we fit.
What the weather does to gutters in Kuna
This is the most wind exposed part of our service area, more so even than Nampa. Spring gusts come across open ground south of the freeway with nothing to break them. Wind pulls at a gutter constantly rather than occasionally, and over a few seasons that works hangers loose and opens up the back of the run. We fit tighter hanger spacing and heavier gauge material as standard here, and we would rather explain why than get called back in three years.

Kuna is a wind schedule rather than a leaf schedule. Get anything loose fixed before the spring gusts rather than after them, because a marginal hanger in February is a failed one by May. Why does Kuna need different hanger spacing?
Because of what the wind does over time. Kuna sits on open ground with very little mature landscaping to slow a spring gust, and a gutter out here takes constant lateral load rather than the occasional gust a sheltered house sees. That works hangers loose in the fascia over a few seasons. Standard spacing is fine in a Boise neighbourhood with tree cover. Out here we tighten it up and use heavier gauge, and we will tell you that is what we are quoting.
There are barely any trees near us. Do we need guards at all?
A guard is most useful when leaves or other debris regularly reach the roof. We install Alu-Rex protection where it fits the existing gutter and roof edge; if little debris reaches your roof, periodic inspection or cleaning may be the better choice.
